The chart of accounts

How the chart of accounts is organised, and how to add an account in the right place.

The steps, written out

  1. Open Chart of Accounts.
  2. Expand the group the account belongs to.
  3. Click Add Child, and type the name and type.
  4. Save. It appears in reports at once.
